I totally disagree. "Critical Thinking" has never led anyone to the righteousness of God that is found in The Lord Jesus Christ alone. Critical thinking has never led anyone to the cross of Christ for their salvation. Through critical thinking no one has ever found the truth in the Word of God. Critical thinking is a negative pre-judgmental, prejudiced analysis of any subject. It never has turned anyone towards God, only away from Him. The word "critical" alone should be see in it's true light. (I am not concerned what the so called educational institutions today endorse). "Aunt Julie is so critical of everyone she meets." I know why you walked away. I get it and it breaks my heart. My youngest Son is Gay. Although now divorced from his Mother and married to my second Wife (an Agnostic and we had a civil wedding) our Son never had to ‘come out to us or anybody. He was Gay, so what! Fornication here translates porneia which in its range of meaning includes all the profane sexual practices outlined in the OT holiness code, one of which is homosexuality - "you shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination." @@1daddyDA This has been dealt with countless times. The law of Moses was given to the Jews, and since the enactment of the new covenant is obsolete anyway. The sacrifices, ceremonial uncleanness, priesthood ... all done away. As God is a moral being and the law reflects that it continues to inform us of what is right or wrong, holy or profane. An instrument of sanctification rather than condemnation for the man of faith. The 10 commandments being moral are still to be obeyed being explicitly carried over into the NT. The exception is observing the sabbath which does not continue (this view gets me into trouble quite often with those who wish to go back under the law). The language of the NT is taken from the moral law, including homosexuality, and other forbidden sexual behaviours such as incest. There is no exemption if those indulging in such practices consider themselves to be in love. If you ditch the law you get rid of sin, and the need for a saviour and forgiveness, so people won't see the need to ask for this. No doubt you won't agree with me on this but I would rather be wrong my way than your way, as those who have broken God's law and die unreconciled with their Creator will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Hurting someone with truth is not wrong if the motive is love, which mine is. An arrow can be a good way to use scripture, God Himself sometimes describes His Judgements as arrows. Your scripture quote is perfectly valid for those who are pointing people away from the kingdom. Thanks be to God that's not what I'm about. Jesus said "unless you repent you will likewise perish". Repent of what I ask? Surely sin and unbelief are what Jesus had in mind. Was He shutting up heaven in men's faces when He commanded repentance ? Of course not! And when God makes it plain to the LGBTQI (and their godless supporters) community that they will not inherit the kingdom unless they repent, is He pointing them away from the kingdom?
